BABE

This guy is such a BABE. Lovely voice, gorgeous eyes, sculpted face and bod, playful personality. Doesn't get much fresher than this.

Part of being an adult

Wallstreet

I can always tell that people who ask for stock tips, aren’t really serious about investing. People who ask for book recommendations aren’t really serious about reading. People who ask ‘What, what business should I build?’ aren’t really serious about entrepreneurship.

Perfect

Always demand a deadline. A deadline weeds out the extraneous and the ordinary. It prevents you from trying to make it perfect, so you have to make it different. Different is better.

Rather than wishing for things to be the way you wish them to be
instead wish them to be as they are

Zwiazki / piniadze

Via negativa

“In practice it is the negative that’s used by the pros, those selected by evolution: chess grandmasters usually win by not losing; people become rich by not going bust (particularly when others do); religions are mostly about interdicts; the learning of life is about what to avoid. You reduce most of your personal risks of accident thanks to a small number of measures.”

“Perhaps the feelings that we experience when we are in love represent a normal state. Being in love shows a person who he should be.” — Anton Chekhov

Mori memento

Egyptian custom where during times of festivities, a skeleton would be brought out with people cheering “Drink and be merry for when you’re dead you will look like this.”

Keep death and exile before your eyes each day, along with everything that seems terrible— by doing so, you’ll never have a base thought nor will you have excessive desire

To practice death is to practice freedom. A man who has learned how to die has unlearned how to be a slave.

Fear no more the heat o’ the sun

Song: “Fear no more the heat o’ the sun”

(from Cymbeline)
Fear no more the heat o’ the sun,
Nor the furious winter’s rages;
Thou thy worldly task hast done,
Home art gone, and ta’en thy wages:
Golden lads and girls all must,
As chimney-sweepers, come to dust.

Fear no more the frown o’ the great;
Thou art past the tyrant’s stroke;
Care no more to clothe and eat;
To thee the reed is as the oak:
The scepter, learning, physic, must
All follow this, and come to dust.

Fear no more the lightning flash,
Nor the all-dreaded thunder stone;
Fear not slander, censure rash;
Thou hast finished joy and moan:
All lovers young, all lovers must
Consign to thee, and come to dust.

No exorciser harm thee!
Nor no witchcraft charm thee!
Ghost unlaid forbear thee!
Nothing ill come near thee!
Quiet consummation have;
And renownèd be thy grave!

Myself that I portray

If I had written to seek the world’s favor, I should have bedecked myself better, and should present myself in a studied posture. I want to be seen here in my simple, natural, ordinary fashion, without straining or artifice; for it is myself that I portray. My defects will here be read to the life, and also my natural form, as far as respect for the public has allowed. Had I been placed among those nations which are said to live still in the sweet freedom of nature’s first laws, I assure you I should very gladly have portrayed myself here entire and wholly naked.

Odtrutka na nihilizm

life itself is but what you deem it” resembles Hamlet’s insight: “there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

Writing authenticity rawness

I want to be seen here in my simple, natural, ordinary fashion, without straining or artifice; for it is myself that I portray. My defects will here be read to the life, and also my natural form, as far as respect for the public has allowed. Publishing anything always makes you feel exposed, if not naked. That’s understandable cause for trepidation, yet there’s something freeing about it as well.
At any rate, I’ve tried my best to “speak what we feel, not what we ought to say.”
